台灣發生八仙塵爆重大意外，日本醫界也想來盡一份心力，日前2名代表來台了解狀況，並承諾派出10名醫生、50名護理師進各大醫院幫忙治療護理工作，不過，卻遭到衛福部婉拒，要求只能提供諮詢，部長蔣丙煌7月4日特別說明。

衛福部部長蔣炳煌：「在醫院的運作，大家可以想像得到，必須要對醫院的的運作體制熟悉，能夠很快地融入，對病人才會實質很有效率的幫助，所以我們目前在做的就是，請醫院由他自己的體系，去找他們需要的人力資源，目前我們的人力是足夠的，不過我也瞭解，如果有一些國外的專家，給我們一些諮詢，對我們的患者，可能對他會覺得更有保障，我們這方面也會積極來做，沒有問題。」

蔣丙煌沒把話說死，但依法規，外國醫生在台灣的確不能從事醫療行為。衛福部也認為，其實台灣醫護人力還算足夠，除了透過可透過EOC支援人力平台調派外，目前至少近60名醫生，都表態可回醫院幫忙，相信已可緩解不少醫護壓力。（民視新聞綜合報導）
